As an ongoing series, I enjoy making cross-sections of iconic spaces from movies. I enjoyed peering behind walls, fences, underwater, and underground in each of these illustrations.
I was commissioned by Seattle's Whipsmart Newsletter to create an art piece under the theme of "summer." So I obviously had to go with the classic summer film, "The Sandlot."
The other previous illustrations were completed for an art exhibit held at Make.Shift Art Space in Bellingham, WA.
Sandlot
Jaws
Rear Window
Poltergeist
Tremors
I also completed an installation, where I drew a cross-section of the gallery wall with a Sharpie - revealing the office behind it - all with the help of artist, Carrie Cooper.
And finally I invited my BFA Design class to collaborate with me on a projected installation. We each created an animated GIF of a room in a house and I composited them together and projected them on a canvas with the outline of a house. I was responsible for the living room.
