Send to family, friends, faculty, classes, acquaintances. Post on social media channels, Discord, Reddit, and more. Try to especially get it in the hands of your demographic.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Watch this video<\/strong>&nbsp;on how to create&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/x1XHdyA-RJ4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Google Form (opens in a new tab)\">Google Form<\/a>. <ul><li>Note: To make sure that anyone can access your survey outside of WWU. Do the following:<ol><li>Go to Settings<\/li><li>Go into Responses<\/li><li>Toggle OFF the &#8220;restrict to users in Western Washington University and its trusted organizations.&#8221;<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to structure a survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Introduce them to the survey and explain briefly what it is for. Thank them for their time!<\/li><li>Include questions to gather relevant demographic information at the beginning.<\/li><li>Ask easier to answer questions at the beginning.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Get into more complex questions in the middle.<\/li><li>End with more general easier questions.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Allow them the opportunity to add feedback or additional comments.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ask around 8-10 questions or test the survey out and just make sure it doesn&#8217;t take more than 7-8 minutes.<\/li><li>Include both closed and open-ended questions. This will allow you to get both easy to assess quantifiable data and more in-depth qualitative data for insights.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Ask questions that will help validate your hypotheses and discover pain points and opportunities. <\/li><li>Figure out some main goals for the survey or ask yourself what you want to learn from it. What information are you seeking that can help you improve this product?<\/li><li>If you are struggling to come up with questions about people&#8217;s experience with your product or similar products, you can always refer back to using the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How questioning method to assist you.<\/li><li>Avoid leading questions, double-negatives, double-barreled, unbalanced scales, and bias.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to summarize results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Group open-ended answers and look for repeating patterns.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Use charts, graphs, and tables to show some of the closed-question responses.
